I am a French-Canadian business lawyer from Montreal. During the first 10 years of my career, I focused on civil and commercial litigation in business law firms, while also negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements and supporting transactions such as mergers and acquisitions. I also served on recruitment committees and supported the professional development of articling students and junior colleagues.
Since moving to Southeast Asia almost 15 years ago, I have increasingly focused on leadership and management. I took on recruitment, training, and team management responsibilities in a boutique law firm before becoming Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel of a biotech start-up, where I oversaw its day-to-day operations for several years. Since 2015, I have also been an Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre.
One of the reasons I joined HIS is the opportunity to contribute to something as meaningful and impactful as education. I am particularly excited to bring my legal, operational, and leadership experience to a school environment and to contribute to the continued development of the HIS community.
