Diploma in pre-school education - Angelin is a preschool teacher with 15 years of experience. Equipped with a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma, she specializes in nurturing young minds and fostering holistic growth. Passionate about creating vibrant and engaging learning environments, she uses play-based learning to spark creativity, curiosity and a lifelong love for learning in children.

Bachelor Audiology - Karin is a Dutch preschool teacher who joined HIS in 2024. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Audiology with a minor in Child Development from Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven. Her passion for working with children began during her time as an audiologist, where she supported young learners in their development. Karin loves creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe and excited to learn through play and exploration.

Chi-Yim holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Linguistics cum laude. With over six years in vocational education, she now teaches nursery with warmth and creativity. Deeply dedicated to her students, she fosters a nurturing space where young children feel safe, curious, and confident as they begin their learning journey.

Bachelor of Education - Neena Bhandari is an English teacher in the pre school and has been teaching for almost 17 years now. She has taught age group 2-6 years old in Chiltern house Singapore for 8 years. She holds a degree in Arts and Bachelor of Education from the University of Calcutta. She did her Certificate in pre school teacher from Singapore.

Jessica is from the Netherlands. She holds an SPW diploma from ROC Leiden in the Netherlands and a TEFL certificate. Jessica has lived in Singapore since 2013, where she enjoys life and raising her two daughters and joined Holland International School in May 2025.

Diploma Early Years Care & Education - Norain is a Preschool Teacher with 10+ years of experience in the education sector, sparking curiosity & creativity. She has experience working in the primary school with the English Department. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. Norain is passionate about inspiring young minds and making learning a joyful adventure!

Postgraduate Pedagogical Science

Bachelor in Primary Education Véronique holds a BSc in Child and Education Studies from Leiden University and an MSc in Educational Science from the University of Amsterdam. As an early years specialist, Véronique has experience teaching across lower primary, where she connects play-based learning with international curricula such as IPC and CBI.

Michelle, a New Zealander with 25+ years of teaching experience, holds a B.Ed from Massey University and a Higher Diploma in Teaching. She has taught all levels of primary school in NZ and English at a high school in Japan. She has mentored teacher trainees and new teachers, providing guidance and advice. She builds a supportive, engaging classroom, adapting to learners’ needs.

Postgraduate Certificate in Education - Kerry Pentney holds a BA from the University of Manchester and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cambridge in Primary Education, graduating in 1991. Her teaching journey has taken her across the globe, with roles in the Slovak Republic, England, Nepal, Spain, and China. She spent 14 years at a private school in Munich, Germany, where she played a pivotal role in its growth from a startup to a highly successful bilingual German-English primary and grammar school.

Bachelor of Education - Sarah Naughton is a Primary School Teacher from Ireland. She graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Political Science, and Philosophy. Following this, she earned a Higher Diploma in Primary Education from Hibernia College Dublin. With 8 years of teaching experience, Sarah has worked with a variety of age groups, both as a Mainstream class teacher and as a Special Education Teacher.

Higher Diploma in Education - Stephen Meyer is a dedicated educator with over 25 years of experience teaching homeroom, Mathematics and English to students from Years 3–10. He holds a Diploma in Education from Durban College of Education and a Higher Diploma in Education from the University of South Africa. Having taught in government, private, and international schools in South Africa and Singapore, he has extensive experience in IB PYP, IB MYP, and IPC curriculums.

Master Pedagogical Sciences - As a passionate primary school teacher with a background in child welfare, Cheyenne focuses on academic and social-emotional development. With a degree in Primary Education and a BSc in Pedagogical Sciences, she creates a safe and supportive classroom where every child is challenged. She approaches teaching with enthusiasm and commitment, inspiring students to become curious and creative thinkers.

Master Special Educational Needs - Jolinda holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's in Special Educational Needs. As the IEYC and IPC coordinator, she is passionate about enhancing learning experiences and implementing sustainability within the curriculum. With her all-round teaching expertise, she strives to create meaningful, engaging education for all students, ensuring continuous growth and development.

Bsc Education - Nynke holds a BA in Education and has a professional background as a speech-language therapist. She has international working experience as a teacher, educational consultant, and advisor in both mainstream and special education. Before joining the Holland International School in Singapore, she worked in various schools and educational organisations. With her broad expertise in language and literacy development, coaching, and curriculum design, she brings over 20 years of experience to the classroom.

Bsc Education - Esmée joined Holland International School in the summer of 2025 and currently teaches Group 3. After obtaining her Bachelor of Education, she gained valuable experience teaching at a bilingual primary school in Utrecht.

Bsc Primary Education - Samir Besselink is a dedicated and enthusiastic primary school teacher with over nine years of experience across lower, middle, and upper grades in the Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education and has completed additional course as a Teacher Leader. With his proactive approach, he is committed to creating a safe and inspiring learning environment where every child can thrive.

Bachelor in Primary Education - Renske holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and has 15 years of experience teaching at primary schools and special education schools in the Netherlands, Gabon, and Singapore. She is passionate about creating a safe and inspirational environment where each student's needs are recognized, allowing them to grow, learn, and be themselves.

Bachelor in Primary Education - Julie has earned a Bachelor of Education degree in Groningen, the Netherlands. She has 15 years of teaching experience at various schools in Amsterdam. In addition to her classroom experience, she has gained extensive experience in the management team of a primary school in recent years. She completed the middle management training in Utrecht and is a Level 2 Agile coach in education.

Bachelor in Primary Education - Marileen holds a BA in education and a BA in social pedagogy. She is specialised in the gifted programme. Before coming to Singapore she worked at an IB-PYP school in the Netherlands. She holds the IB-PYP certificates level 3. She has over 25 years of teaching experience in various forms of education. Before her career in primary education she was an successful entrepreneur.

Bachelor in Primary Education - Renske holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and is a certified Montessori teacher. With 20 years of teaching experience, Renske has worked in the upper primary in the Netherlands, Carribean and Singapore. She aims to make all her children feel safe, seen and inspired for a live long learning. She's a Child Coach in education.

Bachelor Primary School Teacher - Sjoerd van Dijk is a teacher from the Netherlands. He has been teaching primary school children for over 30 years. And he still enjoys teaching! He also attended theatre school and loves making theatre in his free time.

Bachelor in Primary Education - Jaap van Olst holds a Bachelor of education degree from Hogeschool Windesheim in Zwolle. Over his professional career he has held positions as ICT coordinator, unit leader and currently team lead upper primary and ICT coordinator. Jaap brings a growth mindset and an eagerness to improve towards both his learners as well as colleagues.

Postgraduate Director Primary Education - Hennie is the Academic Lead with over 23 years of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education, in Special Educational Needs, and for Academic Support Teacher, and has her Principal’s Qualification. With her passion for language development and multilingual education, Hennie brings enthusiasm, expertise, and a deep commitment to supporting students and staff in creating an inclusive and high-quality learning environment.

Bachelor in Primary Education - Marlou Brosens is the Team Lead for Preschool/Early Years, with over 17 years of experience in education. She has held management roles in both Singapore and the Netherlands, specializing in early childhood education. Marlou holds a Bachelor's degree in Primary Education and qualifications in educational management. In addition she has trained aspiring teacher assistants in pedagogy and didactics.

Master in Public Health - Alyssa Christudason blends over 18 years of academic and practical expertise to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Curtin University and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. Alyssa is certified in CELTA (British Council), Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education (Sydney Rudolf Steiner College) and is a specialist in phonics instruction. Her diverse background and experience enables her to support young learners with care, creativity, and sound knowledge.

Bachelor of Arts - Amelia holds a BA (Linguistics, French) from the University of Western Australia and a CELTA. Before joining the HIS in 2012, she was an EAL tutor to adults and children, and also taught for 4 years at a local primary school. Amelia enjoys adding a little drama and humour into her lessons and aims to cultivate in her students a curiosity about the world.

Postgraduate in Education - Ashley Christudason comes from a long line of educators and has been making learning fun and engaging for over 15 years. With a Master’s in Visual Arts from Curtin University (Western Australia), an iPGCE from the University of Sheffield, and a CELTA certification from The British Council, he brings a creative and animated approach to teaching English and Phonics to both kids and adults. Ashley has a big passion for digital art and is also a basketball enthusiast. He loves collaborating and helping students build confidence for whatever the future holds!

Bachelor of Education - Harvind is a passionate educator with over 19 years of experience, including eight years as a homeroom teacher in England after completing her PGCE at London Southbank University. She initially studied in Australia, earning a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Public Relations from Curtin University, before pursuing her career in education. Now in her 11th year at HIS, she loves working with children and incorporates Cooperative Learning strategies, creating engaging, collaborative classrooms that inspire student growth.

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education - Francine is a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator with over 18 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and has developed a profound understanding of child development and an unwavering commitment to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment to a diverse range of children. With a focus on building strong foundations in cognitive, social and emotional development, Francine inspires children to reach their full potential while cultivating a safe and inclusive space where every child is valued.

Master of Education - Shahnaz holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education and Care from Monash University. She has worked in the field of education for 19 years and has a wide range of interests, including being a docent at the ACM for a year. She obtained a BA in Anthropology and went on to become an Editor with the Longman group. She has worked with publishers in India, Thailand and Singapore. Teaching children is, however, her passion and she strongly believes in imparting a holistic education, inculcating in children a curiosity and lifelong love for learning.

Master of education (Teaching and Learning Chinese) - Yu Jin completed her master of education (Teaching and Learning Chinese) from Hong Kong University with Distinction. She has over fifteen years of teaching experience prior to joining Holland International School. She feels a great sense of satisfaction when she sees her students getting excited about learning and possessing the desired values and attitudes towards life.

Masters in Music - Gayetri is a passionate music educator with 20+ years in the music industry and over 6 years of teaching CBSE & IB PYP (Primary & Secondary students). She holds a Master’s in Music, ABRSM Grade 5, Cambridge International certificate in teaching & learning, and a PG Diploma in HR. She enjoys nurturing creativity and confidence in students, and her greatest joy is seeing them perform on stage with pride, confidence, and self-expression.

Postgraduate in Education - Antony Lewis is from Wales and holds a PGCE from the University of Bangor. With 2 years of experience in Germany and 7 years in the Netherlands, Antony brings international expertise in the British and Dutch curricula, IPC, and CBI. A sports enthusiast and football fanatic, Antony is passionate about inspiring students through athletics and education.
